Celebrate with us during the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend
UPDATE: This event was originally scheduled as a private party at Splitsville luxury lanes, but we’ve changed to a free location and opened it ip to the public. After you’ve run the miles, come celebrate with us and your fellow runners at the Outer Rim Lounge located on the 4th floor of Disney’s Contemporary resort. We’ll be holding a post race celebration protected from the elements with a great view of Bay Lake. Share your “war stories” with the only people who truly understand – other runners! We’ll also be distributing Grand Slam and Hat Trick Challenge medals to those who’ve completed the challenges during the WDW marathon weekend.
At 8 PM, we can all walk a short distance for a fantastic view of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks.
Let us know you’re coming on Facebook.
When?
Sunday January 12, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Where?
The Outer Rim Lounge located on the 4th floor of Disney’s Contemporary resort. If you take the monorail to the Contemporary resort, disembark there and go down one level. The Outer Rim is on the north side of the building near Chef Mickey’s restaurant.
How Much?
Free! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks can be purchased from the bar at the Outer Rim. Quick service food may be purchased 20 feet away at the Contempo Cafe.
Who?
All are welcome. Whether you ran the Dopey Challenge, just the 5K or were part of the cheering throngs alongside the course, you are welcome to celebrate with us. Come mingle with like minded runners of all types to share your stories from the race weekend and plan your next running adventure with your new friends!
How do I get those cool medals?
We’ll be distributing Hat Trick and Grand Slam Challenge medals at the party to those who complete the challenges during the WDW marathon weekend. If you complete the Dopey Challenge, you’ll also complete the Grand Slam and Hat Trick challenges, making it an 8 medal weekend! That’s not the only way to do it, though. Start your Hat Trick or Grand Slam journey any time after January 1st, 2014 and complete it during the WDW marathon weekend. You’ll still get your medal. Alternatively, you could start the challenge journey at the WDW marathon weekend and finish it later in the year. We’ll mail you the medals when you complete the challenges. *Location is subject to change.

Does the price include challenge medals or just the party? If it includes challenge medals, those who have signed up already for the challenge, what is the fee for just the party?
The price does NOT include entry into the challenges. Challenge entry must be paid separately to receive the medals at the party.
Is there an option without food? I have allergies so would not be able to eat what you are offering, but would like to come pick up my medals! I am already signed up for the challenge.
Unfortunately, the venue charges us whether you eat or not. We may be able to work out a pre or post party medal pick up for those who are less interested in socializing.
As a VIP member I’d need to buy a $25 ticket for myself and a $35 ticket for my husband?
That is correct. Guests are full price, but can be added to the ticket order of a VIP member so at least you don’t have to go through the whole process multiple times.
My friend and I signed up for the challenges, but had already made prior dinner reservations! I hope there’s a way for us to still pick up our medals! Really excited about completing the challenges!
We will be arranging a way to pick up medals. We will let you know!
What distinguishes someone as a VIP? Is that someone who has completed one of your challenges in the past? I’m a Dopey runner, so I’d love to add a couple more pieces of bling to my collection that weekend. :)
A VIP is someone who contributed to our Indiegogo campaign in early June, an ambassador, or someone who signs up to be a VIP. At this point, paying for a VIP membership is really only cost effective if you’re going to run a Ragnar Relay with us. https://www.digitalrunning.com/vip-membership/
Thanks, Brian! I’m in WA so I don’t think I can make a Ragnar with you. I appreciate the info, tho. Now I can plan accordingly. :)
